Dear Friends in Christ,
In an effort to provide the opportunity for creative feedback and conversation prior the deliberations of Diocesan Council and the pre-convention meeting in late October, you will find attached here a working draft of the proposed 2025 Ministry Plan of the Diocese.
This working draft takes into consideration the 12.2% increase in the cost of health insurance for all diocesan employees, while at the same time provides a balanced budget that does not exceed the bottom line of the 2024 ministry plan. This is accomplished by staff realignments, careful use of available endowment income, anticipated income from property development, and reliance on the continued adoption of the diocesan tithe by congregations.
This projected draft ministry plan also continues to increase support for Diocesan Partnerships in full recognition that ministry happens at the parish level. It fully supports our continued commitment to One Diocese, One Mission in support of parish growth in ministries across the entire diocese, and in service to the communities we serve.
We look forward to your participation in the Budget Listening Session on Wednesday evening, October 9th and again in the Pre-Convention Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, October 30th.
