Good Friday – April 18th

The Very Rev. Laurence Byrne

Dean of the Flushing Deanery
Rector of All Saints, Bayside

“Were you there when they crucified my Lord?” Today, Fr. Larry Byrne, draws us into the haunting soundscape of Good Friday—from the crowd’s cries to the hammering of nails. This day asks us: will we stand with Christ in his suffering?

Maundy Thursday – April 17th

The Rev. Canon Karen Davis-Lawson

Rector of St. David's, Cambria Heights

A new commandment. A basin and towel. Bread broken and wine shared. In this powerful reflection, Mother Karen guides us through the meaning of Maundy Thursday. Love one another, Jesus said. And then he showed us how.

Holy Wednesday – April 16th

The Rev. Luis Fernando López

Missioner of the Latino East End Mission of Long Island

Judas’ betrayal began with a meeting—and a price. On this midpoint of Holy Week, Fr. López, invites us to see beyond judgment and reflect on our own capacity for transformation. Even now, God seeks to renew our hearts.

Holy Tuesday – April 15th

The Rev. Canon Pierre Damus

Canon for Haitian Ministry
Rector of St. Bartholomew's, Brooklyn

As spring renews the world, Lent invites us to spiritual renewal. Today’s reflection from Canon Damus  encourages us to stay committed to our baptismal vows, trust in God’s call, and become co-workers in building a just and peaceful world.

Holy Monday – April 14th

The Rev. Lindsay Lunnum

Rector, Zion Episcopal Church, Douglaston

A dinner party. A jar of perfume. A woman’s hair and an act of radical love. Today, Mother Lindsay, reflects on Mary’s extravagant gesture—and Jesus’ tender reception of it. Can you open your heart wide enough to receive such love this Holy Week?

Palm Sunday - April 13th

The Rt. Rev. Geralyn Wolf
Assistant Bishop of Long Island

As Jesus entered Jerusalem to cries of “Hosanna!” and a road of palms, it felt like a hero’s welcome. But as the week unfolds, triumph turns to tragedy. In today’s reflection, the Rt. Rev. Geralyn Wolf, Assistant Bishop of Long Island, invites us to consider what it means to stay the course, even when life unravels. Is it better to be a hero on Broadway—or to be wrapped in the love of God?
