Legal experts gathered to discuss how Houses of Worship can best support immigrant communities during this time of increased immigration enforcement. The discussion covered current trends in immigration enforcement (including the rescission of the Sensitive Locations Memo), best practices and the rights of Houses of Worship that minister to and serve immigrant communities (including constitutional rights and rights under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act), and an overview of legal services for immigrants in New York City and Long Island.
