A Message from Bishop Provenzano on the Calling of a New Bishop of Massachusetts

On behalf of the clergy and people of the Diocese of Long Island, I wish to express our love, pride, and deep appreciation to the Very Rev. Gideon Pollach, his wife, Sarah, and their family for opening their hearts and souls as Gideon stood as a candidate for Bishop of Massachusetts. 

Today, the Rev. Julia Whitworth was elected as the next Bishop of Massachusetts on the fourth ballot. We offer our sincere congratulations and prayers for she, her family and the clergy and people of the Diocese of Massachusetts.
