In an article published by Dandan Zou of Newsday, three recipients of the inaugural Barbara C. Harris Scholarship, Marlene McKinney, Noah Fields, and Nathan Alleyne, reflected on the impact of the scholarship on their college careers.
"'People around the world are going through a ton of different experiences and don't exactly have as many resources or as many opportunities as I do,' said Alleyne, a rising junior. 'I am very grateful.'"
