St. Mark's, Islip recently made headlines for their initiative to install 85 solar panels on the roof of one of their buildings. Powered by the partnership between the Creation Care Community of the Diocese of Long Island and the Long Island Progressive Coalition, as well as funds made available by the Inflation Reduction Act, this project sets an inspiring example for churches and nonprofits to lead the way in environmental stewardship.
