Key Details:
Eligibility & Requirements:
- All delegates must be confirmed communicants in good standing and domiciled within the Diocese of Long Island.
- Youth delegates must be under 18 and born after November 15, 2007.
Election Process:
- Delegates and alternates are appointed by the Vestry or Bishop's Committee during an official meeting.
- The number of delegates a congregation may elect is based on their number of communicants in good standing from the 2023 Parochial Report:
- 0-300 members: 1 delegate, 1 alternate
- 301-500 members: 2 delegates, 2 alternates
- 501+ members: 3 delegates, 3 alternates
Submission Deadline:
- The completed certificate must be submitted no later than June 15, 2025.
Certification:
- The Rector, Priest in Charge, or Warden (for vacant cures) must verify and sign the document, confirming the eligibility of the delegates and alternates.
