The Open Doors New Futures process was developed to help congregations discern God’s plan as it emerges in community exploration. Whether you are a parish with a newly called clergy partner, or a congregation seeking a new chapter, the Open Doors New Futures process can help you see God’s vision.
The congregation Handbook has work pages for each of the events of Open Doors New Futures, and includes any pre-work, things to read, pray or think about, meeting times and locations. There are questions following the events to help you keep a personal record to contribute to the emerging picture. God has lots to say, and everyone has a specific part to contribute to the emerging picture of God’s will and leading for the congregation as you ask the question: What does God want to do here?
There are four Open Doors New Futures Handbooks: one for the Open Doors New Futures team (a group of parishioners guiding their congregation in the Open Doors New Futures process), one for Congregations (those in a parish undergoing the Open Doors New Futures process), one for the clergy person leading the congregation, and one for your Open Doors New Futures consultant. All handbooks are available digitally, for those who wish to use their laptops to keep their notes), and in print versions (for those who wish to hand write their notes).
