Open Doors New Futures: Team Handbook

Open Doors New Futures - Team Handbook
Posted by Teddy Byrne

The Open Doors New Futures process was developed to help congregations discern God’s plan as it emerges in community exploration. Whether you are a parish with a newly called clergy partner, or a congregation seeking a new chapter, the Open Doors New Futures process can help you see God’s vision.

Welcome to the Open Doors New Futures Team. You have been asked onto this team for your faithfulness, your support for your congregation, and the particular gifts you possess. The Team is made up of an Administrator, the Champion, the Scribe, and the Prayer Choir and joined by your Clergy partner and the Consultant who will lead you through the mission discernment journey together. The Team puts together all the various different parts that ensure an insightful, generous, loving and joyful discernment process to find out together, what does God want to do here?

There are four Open Doors New Futures Handbooks: one for the Open Doors New Futures team (a group of parishioners guiding their congregation in the Open Doors New Futures process), one for Congregations (those in a parish undergoing the Open Doors New Futures process), one for the clergy person leading the congregation, and one for your Open Doors New Futures consultant. All handbooks are available digitally, for those who wish to use their laptops to keep their notes), and in print versions (for those who wish to hand write their notes).
