Lay Alternate
James is a lifelong member of the Diocese, having been raised at Ascension, Brooklyn and now affiliated with St. George’s, Astoria. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in American History at Stony Brook University and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Hunter College. James is the Humanities Coordinator and a teacher at Msgr. McClancy Memorial High School in East Elmhurst. Prior to his career in education, James served as the Parish Administrator of St. John’s, Park Slope. In the past, James has served as a Vestryperson, Clerk and Warden, on the board of the Mercer School of Theology and as an alternate deputy to General Convention in 2018.
