Altar Guild President
A Cradle Episcopalian and a member of St. Margaret's Church in Plainview, Jane Ames has been active in ECW since 1980. Jane began her ECW career as the Nassau Archdeaconry UTO Representative. She was President of the Nassau Archdeaconry for two terms and elected again for a one-year term. She then was elected to be the Diocesan UTO Coordinator in 1985 serving for 7 years and elected again in 2001 for one term. She was the Diocesan Book of Remembrance Chair for 3 years and served as the Nassau Chair for many years. She has been involved with the Diocesan Altar Guild beginning in 1988, serving 2 terms beginning in 1999 and has served as the current Altar Guild President since 2017. Serving others is integral to Jane’s Christian life.
